About the Role
As a Shunter Driver, you'll play a vital role in the safe movement, preparation and positioning of trains within the depot, helping ensure our fleet is ready to deliver a reliable service for our customers every day.
This is a highly safety-critical operational role where attention to detail, situational awareness and clear communication are essential. You'll be in constant radio contact with colleagues and will need to remain focused and adaptable as priorities can change quickly.
Please note: This role is approximately 90% shunting activities.
What We're Looking For
Experience or awareness of working in a safety-critical environment
Strong communication skills and confidence using radio communications
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
A proactive and safety-conscious approach
Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced operational environment
