Our Repair Shop at Selhurst depot is looking for a Service Engineer Level 2, you will be Responsible for carrying out repair fault finding and maintenance work as directed by the Team Leader/Production Manager to the required standards and specification.
- Carry out repairs or additional work arising from examination (Mechanical, Electrical or Vehicle building).
- Carry out component changes/lift as required.
- Work effectively as part of a team, including taking the lead when appropriate.
- Comply with safety systems and responsibilities.
- Complete paperwork required.
- Develop a pro-active approach to safety and quality matters.
If you have the experience…..
- Served an Apprenticeship or skills development programme equivalent to NVQ Level 3.
- Able to demonstrate (interview or exam) a thorough understanding of rolling stock engineering.
- Familiar with rolling stock maintained or repaired by Southern.
- Be physically fit and able to pass a medical to Engineering standard.
- Be able to pass PTS and Designated Person (Track Course).
- Competent to carry out fault finding on units.
- Willing to learn new skills appropriate to train maintenance.
- Brief, coach, advise and mentor other staff.
