People Systems & Analytics Manager (3386)

This role will work with internal project teams, IT, People & Finance Business Partners, Operational Improvement Teams and other departments where applicable to input and contribute expertise into any wider GTR system and data flow projects and developments that involve People systems in support of wider organisational business needs.
Lead on the on-going development and production of a people management information approach, measuring service interventions and impact on business results.
To control access to systems and provide training and support to users ensuring data protection compliance and process efficiency.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the team of analysts and setting the strategy, thinking and direction of GTR's People Systems and their interaction with other key GTR systems including SharePoint, Active Directory and Data Hub and the data flow processes between HR systems and wider GTR systems.
- Develop and nurture effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders both within and outside of the People department. Provide subject matter expertise on people analytics solutions from core reporting through to data solutions across the employee lifecycle to drive innovation & development of leading-edge insights
- Lead the design and implementation of any system / process capturing people information, ensuring data integrity and integration / interaction with other GTR Systems to minimise duplicate input and data.
- Working closely with the IT Teams to support people data governance and quality initiatives alongside developing plans for future data requirements to support future data modelling activity
- Accountable for the Rostering system for all Non Traincrew staff (approx. 4,500), including time clocks. Involves maintaining access and providing enhancements and upgrades.
- Work with other subject matter experts across the People Team (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Communication and Engagement, People Partners) and Finance Team (e.g. Payroll, IT and Finance Business Partners) to promote data governance, data security/privacy, and other standards.
- Lead projects to enhance people processes for GTR using available systems, co-ordinating multiple stakeholders and teams.
- Accountable for the HR, Payroll system, including Data governance and Integrity, Ensuring the Oracle EBS HR/Payroll systems provides an accurate reflection of the organisation, developing the capability of the system to meet the needs of the organisation.
- Manage highly confidential, complex, sensitive (including special category data) or contentious information and ensure data governance is in-place with the ingestion, storage, analyst access and presentation.
Skills:
- Advanced IT skills, including high-level knowledge and experience in reporting, modelling, statistical analysis; Microsoft Power BI or similar tool, advanced Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Ability to think strategically, define product vision, and translate it into actionable plans and features.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse, non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
Experience:
- Designing Workflows to support business processes to reduce manual input and record keeping.
- Project Management experience including system implementations and procurement.
- Experience working in IT, Data Analytics, or other technical industries
- Experience working in Railway or similar environment.
- Extensive experience in product ownership / management, preferably in the domain of data management, People analytics or HR Payroll systems.
- Experience leading teams of analysts or business intelligence developers.
