As a Passenger Host Team Leader, you are a key member of staff whose role is of prime importance. You will be expected to provide a high level of customer service and information as well as a feeling of safety, security and well-being whilst protecting the revenue of Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR). You will provide a warm greeting to customers in a polite and professional manner at all times.
Your duties fall into three main categories – revenue protection, customer service and security. It is an environment in which you will sometimes be working under pressure, when demands on you will be high. You will be expected to provide high standards of courtesy and service ensuring that you are proactive in providing assistance at all times.
In addition to the above, as a Passenger Host Team Leader, your role will be to provide local direction and leadership of Passenger Host colleagues which supports the GTRs Revenue Protection strategy
Working closely with your line manager you will provide support for the planning and local delivery of Revenue Protection activities whilst supporting your line Manager with day-to-day management of the team.
Experience / Skills / Requirements
- Ensure that you are highly visible and lead, direct and support your team ensuring that they are fully capable of carrying out their roles and responsibilities to the required standard.
- Ensure a safe working environment ensuring safety principles are embedded within your areas of responsibility.
- Support the delivery of the ticketless travel survey
- Ensure that you are highly visible and provide an excellent standard of customer service
