An exciting opportunity to recruit a Development Support Engineer based at Hornsey, but also working at Siemens Three Bridges Depot and Siemens Hornsey Depots, where the class 700 fleet is maintained
We are looking for someone who can support the Class 700 Fleet Engineer through developing and delivering robust engineering change programmes within budget which are compliant with relevant standards and legislation and support the performance and safety of the fleet.

Knowledge:-
- HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline
- Good understanding of GTR or similar rolling stock
Skills:-
- Strong change management skills
- Strong planning and organising skills
- Delivery focused
- Commercially astute with good negotiating skills
- Good leadership skills and team working skills - able to build high performing teams
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Excellent communicator – verbal and written
- A proactive self starter who is able to work under own initiative
- Ability to interpret traction and rolling stock standards.
Experience:-
- A minimum of 5 years knowledge and experience working on traction & rolling stock
- Experience of managing change. The class 700 Maintainer Siemens generate a large quantity of engineering changes and so the applicant will be expected demonstrate strong understanding and experience in the engineering change processes and be able to deliver robust and timely reviews to ensure the changes comply with standards, legislation, GTR's safety management systems and does not negatively impact the service delivery and customer experience.
- Desirable: experience of implementing new technology in a rail environment, ideally with direct experience of telecommunications, Wi-Fi, mobile communications or IT installations
- Desirable: track record of managing supplier delivery within complex stakeholder frameworks
