Are you passionate about data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and making things better every day? If so, we're looking for a Continuous Improvement Analyst to join our Network Operations team based at the state-of-the-art Three Bridges Railway Operating Centre.
This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of performance analysis, incident review, and service recovery for one of the UK's largest train operating companies.
🔍 About the Role
As a Continuous Improvement Analyst, you'll work closely with the Performance Manager and wider Network Operations team to:
- Drive Data Insight: Analyse performance data, develop new metrics, automate reporting processes, and support the Visual Management process at various operational levels.
- Improve Operations: Investigate incidents to identify root causes and areas for improvement in recovery times, response processes, and service quality.
- Champion Compliance: Monitor how well key processes are followed and help shape better practices through evidence and insight.
🛠 What You'll Need
Knowledge & Experience
- A strong understanding of railway performance and GTR's services
- Familiarity with industry systems (e.g. TRUST, CCIL, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with analytical tools like Excel (including VBA) and Power BI
- Proven ability to work with large data sets, and present clear, meaningful insights
Skills
- Excel and data visualisation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Attention to detail and a drive for high standards
- A collaborative approach and a natural curiosity to learn and challenge the status quo
